Matt Shumway currently works as the Director of Business Development at Mainspring Energy, where he oversees sales and partnership opportunities with companies and projects for renewable fuels and EV mobility applications. Shumway has been with Mainspring since early 2022.

Prior to Mainspring, he worked at Chevron for nine years. His work there started in international LNG projects and then pivoted to the commercialization of renewable fuels within the US West Coast. Shumway graduated with his bachelors degree and MBA from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He lives in Danville, CA with his wife and five children.
