Jordan Young is the Safety Culture Manager at Orange County Waste & Recycling (OCWR). OCWR operates three landfills in Southern California. An effective employee driven safety culture has been critical as the agency pivots to a resource recovery model.

A wildlife biologist at heart turned safety professional who traded rubber boots for safety boots, Young has 10 years of experience in general industry safety. He is credentialed as a Certified Safety Professional from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and a Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) from SWANA.
