Michael Bauer has worked in the auto industry for 34 years starting with working at dealerships as a service writer and service manager. 21 years ago he started with the City of Phoenix as a shop foreman and then advanced to Maintenance Supervisor before becoming the Fleet Control Manager 4 years ago. He oversees procurement, make ready, accident repair, and end of life to auction for 600+ vehicles each year in a fleet of over 7800 units. A native of Phoenix, AZ, he is passionate about providing the best customer service to not only city personnel but the public as well. The push to transition the fleet to EV has presented numerous challenges in which he is proud to be part of the solution to improve the air quality in Phoenix and the surrounding area.
