Tia is a research scientist and the Waste Sector Lead for Carbon Mapper, a non-profit organization that is working to map and quantify methane and carbon dioxide point source emissions. Carbon Mapper uses a combination of satellite and aircraft observations to estimate emissions from point sources and makes this information freely available via Carbon Mapper’s global data portal. Tia recently joined Carbon Mapper in 2023 and previously worked on methane emissions inventory development at Harvard University.
