Farrokh Shoaei has over 17 years of professional and research experience in water, energy, and environmental engineering. His area of expertise includes landfill gas collection and control systems, renewable energy programs, soil and groundwater contamination assessment and remediation, and water quality management. Currently a Senior Civil Engineer and Head of Environmental Management Systems for the Orange County Waste and Recycling in California, Dr. Shoaei provides engineering and environmental compliance support for the County’s municipal solid waste landfills and composting facilities. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from the University of Colorado Boulder and is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of California.
