As a Senior Environmental Specialist with the City of Carlsbad’s Sustainable Materials Management Division, Molly Reeves leads and contributes to the outreach, education, monitoring and inspection of regulations related to solid waste and recycling measures. Some of her main projects include implementing school recycling programming, organizing and facilitating educational events for residents and developing the city’s edible food recovery programming. She is passionate about creating edible food recovery programs that recognize the intersectionality of food recovery efforts and prioritize sustainable solutions that are responsive to the needs of both food generating businesses and food recovery organizations. Molly received her Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Business Administration from University of San Diego and is currently working towards her Masters of Public Administration at National University.
