Jan spent the early part of his career designing super-sized organic waste recycling facilities before forming Chomp (formerly Impact Bioenergy) to focus his expertise on distributed, community-scale installations. Jan is a Professional Civil Engineer and the registered inventor of 7 US Patents for composting, digestion, and biofiltration. He has worked on organic waste conversion projects in North America, Europe, Turkey, India, Indonesia, and Australia, and travels widely for personal pleasure. Jan believes deeply in global stewardship and in honoring the world for the benefit of future generations. He puts this passion to work to reverse climate change, improve the quality of our food, and repair the soil under our feet.
