Matt Stutz has 27 years of experience in solid waste services with extensive work experience in landfill gas system design, air permitting and compliance, and landfill gas to energy. He works closely with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies on landfill gas and air permitting rule development and he also serves as an expert witness for the solid waste industry. His professional experience includes serving as an instructor in air pollution courses for the Center of Environmental Research and Training at The University of Texas at Arlington. He is a principal with Weaver Consultants Group and managers the landfill gas and air quality service groups.

Stutz is an active member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), where he serves as the Vice-Chair on the Landfill Gas Rules and Regulations Committee. He also serves as a faculty member for SWANA’s Landfill Basics Course. He is an active member and past-Chairman for the North Texas Chapter of Air and Waste Management Association. He has a B.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in 15 states.
