Govindan (Govi) Kannan is responsible for the global product strategy for Mack Trucks. His area of responsibility includes delivering the product experience for the brand, developing the product/ technology roadmap, and managing the R&D budget to achieve sustainability. Prior to his current position Dr. Kannan was Vice President, Business Development for Mack Trucks International Operations.
Dr. Kannan has also served in a number of senior management positions with Volvo Construction Equipment in both North America and Asian markets. He has over 20 years of experience in the trucking and heavy equipment industry.
Dr. Kannan earned his Doctor of Philosophy from Virginia Tech (USA). He holds an international executive program diploma from INSEAD (France) and a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore (Singapore).
