Jonathan North
VP
Rehrig Pacific Company
Jonathan North has 30 years of global supply chain and sustainability experience gained across multiple industries including consumer packaged goods, fresh produce, retail, and home furnishings.
Originally from the UK, he started his career with CHEP, the world’s largest pallet and container rental company, in the US working across several lines of business from product development to procurement, and in increasingly senior strategic and operational roles (including supporting business launches in Mexico and Chile).
After 12 years at CHEP, Jonathan joined IKEA in 2004 as Vice President of Operations for a start up subsidiary developing a market for alternative materials handling systems. In 2008 he took an international assignment with IKEA, moving his family to Europe (based twice in The Netherlands and once in Sweden). During his 14 years with IKEA, he led sustainability for the franchisor of IKEA stores, focusing on the Middle East and SE Asia markets.
Jonathan returned to CHEP (and to the US) in 2019, where he led Zero Waste World, a customer facing sustainability collaboration program aimed at reducing waste, optimizing transportation, and eliminating supply chain inefficiencies for CHEP’s manufacturing and retailing customers in North America.
Based in Atlanta, Jonathan is now Vice President of Sustainable and Core Solutions for Rehrig Pacific Company, an industry leader in plastic molded pallets, waste and recycling containers, and supply chain solutions, which operate in circular business models. In this new role, Jonathan is responsible for developing, communicating, implementing, and executing the Sustainability and Core Category business development strategy for Rehrig Pacific.
