Janette Kessler is Safety and Risk Manager for Atlantic County Utilities Authority and is Insurance Commissioner for both the Atlantic County Insurance Commission and the NJ Counties Excess Liability Insurance Fund. She serves as Safety Committee Chair for the Atlantic County Insurance Commission and Claims Committee Chair for the Atlantic County Insurance Committee and is a member of the Coverage Committee for the NJ Counties Excess Liability Insurance Fund. Janette serves as Chair of the Safety Committee for the Association of Environmental Authorities. She has worked as a Safety and Risk Manager for over 20 years in various industries. Ms. Kessler specializes in insurance procurement, training, safety and claims management for various coverages including Workers Compensation, Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, Property, EPL and UST.

Janette has a degree in Paralegal Sciences and has served on the Ethics Committee of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Janette is an OSHA authorized trainer. She is NIMS certified, an authorized American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED trainer and is a Rutgers Environmental Steward. This native New Yorker enjoys day trips to Manhattan to visit her son who resides there, travelling and dining al fresco. Ms. Kessler resides in Brigantine, NJ where since 2017, she has a volunteer appointment by the Mayor as Chair of the Brigantine Green Team and Brigantine Farmers Market.
