Phil Goddard currently holds the position of Manager of Facility Compliance and Technology Development at the Town of Bourne, Department of Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM). He has worked for the Town for 22 years and is responsible for permitting, health and safety and site development projects that will maximize the long-term utility of the Town’s property beyond the life of the landfill.
He has over 33 years of experience in the environmental sector, specializing in solid waste and recycling, working for the private sector, public sector and as an independent consultant. In addition to his position with Bourne, he was recently the Treasurer of MassRecycle, Chairman of the Massachusetts Product Stewardship Council, which is part of MassRecycle and is currently the Past President of the Southern New England Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
He has a B.S. from Babson College in Wellesley, MA with a major in Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Policy from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Mr. Goddard is also SWANA Certified as Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO).
