Mr Michael Ledieff
Division Manager
Caglia Environmental
Mike has been in the recycling industry as far back as 1996. When he was 16 Mike’s father insisted that Mike get a job. If Mike did not get a job Mike’s father would get a job for him! It was the year that Mike started hand sorting curbside recycling for Jackson Disposal in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. Mike spent his college years outside of the industry working for a terribly mean boss in Anaheim, CA by the name of Mickey Mouse. Mike joined Caglia Environmental in 2015. As the Business Development Manager, his operation experience in his prior roll as General Manager of Selma Disposal and Transfer Station allowed him to improve operational processes while executing his role in business development. He has been involved in developing and vetting emerging technology within the industry over his career. Mike moved to the Central Valley in 2018 to manage an organics collection and processing facility. After a successful tenure with Kochergen Farms Composting and All Valley Environmental he had an opportunity to run a fully integrated facility in Fresno County. Over the past six years Mike has been an integral part of the Caglia Environmental team. While in his Business Development Role he was heavily involved in the operations process and was essential in improving processes at CARTS. Mike was promoted to CARTS division manager in 2019. Mike has spearheaded taking a 20 year old single stream system to state of the art MRF. In addition to Mike’s attention to single stream recycling he is also working with industry leaders to improve upon the CARTS C&D operations. His initiative to seek a grant from the Recycling Partnership and selection of AMP Recycling to install our state-of-the-art robotics which has set CARTS apart from facilities in surrounding areas.
