Veronica Roof, a legally trained consultant, has focused her career on assisting state and local governments with solid waste management and resource recovery objectives. Veronica has managed studies and developed reduction strategies on behalf of local and state agencies and federal military installations nationwide. Veronica began her consulting career serving local, state, and federal government with a wide array of operational and financial planning. When clients started asking for help procuring solid waste and recycling services, she expanded her skills to include facilitating the procurement process and drafting requests for proposals, contracts, and regulations. She then completed a law degree, honing her negotiating and strategic skills, which have helped achieve win-win outcomes between government agencies and private industry. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Georgia and a member of the Environmental Law Section and Local Government Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Veronica currently serves on the Solid Waste Association of North America Communication, Education & Marketing Technical Division and is a Solid Waste Committee Member for the American Public Works Association and Board Member for the SWANA Georgia Chapter.
