This session will focus on emerging contaminants (ECs) including 1,4 Dioxane, micro-plastics/nanoparticles, Pharmaceuticals/nutraceuticals and endocrine disruptors. A review of the sources of each of these ECs will be provided, regulatory frameworks will be discussed and various treatment technologies will be reviewed.

The session will identify and rank efficient treatment methods based on current research, pilot studies and long-term application. Learning objectives include:

1. Knowledge of the ECs discussed and their sources
2. Knowledge regarding emerging regulations on these ECs
3. Practical treatment options based on current research
