Lauren Aepli is a program manager of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP), a voluntary program that works cooperatively with industry stakeholders and waste officials to reduce or avoid methane emissions from landfills. Lauren is also the waste sector lead for the Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks. Prior to joining EPA, Lauren served in the U. S. Navy as a meteorology and oceanography officer. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the U. S. Naval Academy and a Master of Natural Resources from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
