Kasem Cornelius is a consultant with Forbedre ("for better") Consulting and has over 10 years of professional solid waste and recycling industry experience. Growing up in a family-owned recycling business, Kasem handled and sorted recyclables, drove hauling and roll-off trucks, and ultimately managed recycling logistics for utility scale solar projects. He then leveraged this experience into a successful consulting career. Kasem has worked with 60+ municipal and private solid waste operations across 15 US states and Canadian provinces. He has experience working with all types of solid waste operations: Collections, Transfer Stations, Material Recovery Facilities, Waste-To-Energy Facilities, Landfills (Municipal Solid Waste; Oil & Gas Exploration and Production). Though the types of projects he has completed vary, his specialty has proven to be applying a practical, operations-minded approach to safety that improves worker health, process efficiency, and organizational finances.
