Recycling is not recycling without end-use markets. Michigan’s department Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and RRS will present the effectiveness of programs being used in the collection and processing of residential recycled materials to increase the quality of recycled materials and reducing contamination in the bin. With quality of residential recycled materials at the forefront, attendees will find out what is working and not working in Michigan and around the country. Case studies on implementing technology, including AI, for collection will be shared.
