Keynote & 2023 Lawrence Lecturer: Waste is Not the End - It's the Beginning of Something New!

In this keynote you will listen to the story of how we together, can work towards a sustainable circular future. From marine litter to circular cities, to climate mitigation. Case-studies, operations as well as legislation will be included.

Ms. Carlsson has been instrumental in the ISWA Marine Litter Task Force and driving the Cities Network in the Circular and Low Carbon Cities Project.

In this session she will be sharing insights on this and her years of service in the solid waste industry.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing. You may send your cancellation notices to wastecon@swana.org for review and processing. Cancellation requests received by September 22, 2023, will receive a 100% refund of the registration fee less a $150 administration fee. Fees for tours or other events are non-refundable. SWANA invoices for no-shows. After September 22, 2023, you are responsible for the full amount of all items purchased in your registration.

Cancellation of Group Registrations: If a member of a group registration cancels prior to September 22, 2023, you may replace this registrant with another person in your organization. Send all changes or cancellations in writing to wastecon@swana.org. If the number of participants in the group falls below 4 as a result of a cancellation before September 22, 2023, the registration fee for each group registrant will be recalculated to the appropriate member or nonmember rate plus an administration fee of $150 per cancelled registrant will be assessed to the group. Any remaining balance will be refunded. After September 22, 2023, no changes can be made to the group registrations and you are responsible for the full amount of all items purchased in the group registrations.
