SWANA Board of Directors & Advisory Board

SWANA's 21-member Board of Directors (BOD) oversees the organization's operations, sets strategic direction, and establishes policy positions. The BOD meets in person three times a year, in addition to regular conference calls. Input is received from the Advisory Board, which consists of delegates from all SWANA chapters, technical divisions, private sectors, and young professional members. The Advisory Board meets once a year in conjunction with WASTECON® and during the preparation of SWANA’s strategic plan (once every five years). Delegates also participate in regular conference calls to provide input on financial, policy, and membership issues.
