A project that has been featured on CBS, Fox, NBC, and various local news outlets, this student-led research project has developed into a groundbreaking innovation. Witness how recycled plastic is incorporated into asphalt, revolutionizing road and parking lot construction. Visit the plastic road-testing facility and observe sections of the innovative plastic road that have withstood extreme conditions. Learn how this project is addressing climate change and promoting a circular economy.
Snacks and drinks will be provided.
PPE will be provided, if needed.
Tour Schedule Outline:
- 8:00 AM: Check-in at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Ft Worth 6
- 8:15 AM – 8:45 AM: Transport to the University of Texas at Arlington
- 8:45 AM – 11:15 AM: Plastic Roads: Paving the Way to Sustainability tour
- 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Transport back to the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center
If a tour capacity is reached you will have the option to be added to a waitlist. We will release people from the waitlist as/if space opens up, until Friday, October 11. If you have not received notice of availability by that date it means the tour remains at capacity.
