Garbage per Capita is an effective metric to increase waste reduction, and is simple to calculate. It has helped cities reduce waste in Texas by up to 18% in five years. So why isn't everyone doing it? 

This presentation takes a look at Frisco, Texas, where residents are encouraged to measure their Garbage per Capita, resulting in much lower numbers, about half as much as the Garbage per Capita for the entire State of Texas. Measuring Garbage per Capita and implementing other strategies to make communities aware of their individual input will only help us become more aware of ways to reduce waste in other areas.
