The waste industry is no stranger to dealing with fires, most often when processing batteries. We often focus on fire prevention measures, but there's a significant gap in discussions about what to do in the event of a fire. In this presentation, we provide information on truck fires and transfer station fires: how to react, and how not to react.  

After attending this session, participants will be able to:  

• Safely put out a small fire. 

• Memorize what to do in case of an emergency. 

• Use a fire extinguisher to put out a small fire in less than a minute.
