This session presents and addresses the opportunities and roles that solid waste landfills can play in managing PFAS found in wastewater biosolids, compost and used carbon filters from water treatment systems. 

After attending this session, participants will be able to:  

• Identify industry trends that are causing the generators of these PFAS waste streams to use landfills for disposal and the opportunities and risks associated with landfill disposal of these waste streams. 

• Explore policy options for accepting these PFAS laden waste streams at their landfills. 

• Develop better relationships with their local water and wastewater utilities.
